Photo Contest: Check Back Daily to Vote

The deadline for submissions is now closed. Thank you for the more than 1,600 photographs submitted to us and to Food52, our co-sponsor.

Now the voting begins. Each day from now through Friday June 4 we will showcase some of the photos we really liked. Come back daily and tell us what you think of the day’s selections by voting in our poll. The winner will be announced on Wednesday June 9.

    I don’t think the voting is very fair… you can vote as many times as you like simply by refreshing the page. This becomes a contest of who has the most time on their hands to vote and not a true favorite.

    I think when you guys adjusted the pole you once again opened it up for people to vote numerous times, which totally skews the numbers based on who has the most time to keep clicking on their image.

    The meat market had 419 votes this morning and now has 1771? Were all those votes from different individuals or was someone able to refresh and re-vote continuously?

    Why does it let you vote as much as you like… I thought it was once per day? It makes my vote count less.

    I could not vote from the desktop in my office, but from my laptop at home I can vote, refresh and could vote again (which I did not). In one contest, there are 95 votes in total thus far. In the second, there are 1045, with an overwhelming number suspiciously for a single entry, while earlier they were mostly for another one. A fair contest would be decided by the number of unique votes a photo received and not by unscrupulous behavior.
