Through The Looking Glass

Dale Chihuly at The MFA in Boston

Paris, Jerusalem, London and Dallas are just a few of the international cities that have played host to exhibitions of Dale Chihuly’s fantastic glass work. This week, Boston joins that group.

Now on at the Museum of Fine Arts is a “Chihuly: Through The Looking Glass”—a retrospective of the forty-year career of the Seattle-based artist. True to its Alice in Wonderland billing, the show is a transportive, even trippy experience. Rooms filled with his colorful, phantasmagoric installations create a bright world of wonder. It’s an especially great museum show for kids, but visitors of all ages will be impressed by Mr. Chihuly’s extraordinary, imaginative vision.

Headed to Boston? The Back Bay Hotel is a great place to land after a day exploring Boston’s cultural offerings.
