The Best Room Service Hamburgers
Burger

Picking up the phone and ordering for room service is a thrill that’s hard to top. That is, until you hear yourself saying “I would like the burger, medium rare please.” It’s the ultimate fix for a comfort food craving. And with the hamburger’s rising status, some very deluxe options abound.

We may have urged you to reconsider room service in the past, but these meals make the case for ordering in:

The Ames
Boston
Boston is a seafood city, so ordering a burger might be considered sacrilege; but Woodward is the kind of restaurant that might tempt you into sin. Theirs is served with smoked tomato jam, house-cured pickles and Vermont aged cheddar. Things could get messy, but heck, no one’s watching.

Mondrian Soho
New York
Imperial No. 9, inside the new Mondrian Soho, has been one of New York’s buzziest restaurants of the spring — confirming that hiring a hunky chef never hurts. The fact that Sam Talbot’s good looks are getting all the attention is all the more reason to cast the spotlight on one of Imperial’s underrated features: a life-changing burger. All we can say is that it’s very decadent. And that there’s a fried egg involved.

Hollywood Roosevelt
Los Angeles
As tempting as it may be to hit In-N-Out and just shuttle your bounty up to your room, the burgers from 25 Degrees at the Hollywood Roosevelt will deliver a similarly sublime experience. The 25 Degrees menu is more expansive, of course, so be prepared to make some really tough decisions: between Point Reyes Blue and homemade American cheese, caramelized onions and roasted tomato, Hatch green chiles and jalapeño bacon.

W Hotel
Atlanta
Laurent Tourondel’s BLT Steak is the restaurant inside the downtown W in Atlanta, and this French chef has proven that he knows a few things about cooking up American classics. The certified Black Angus burger is very well rounded, and we suggest a stack of onion rings, which measure up to the burger in size as well as taste.
