Rare is the brand considered both timeless and au courant. But when it comes to footwear this fall, Stubbs & Wootton will be one of the more amusing embodiments of this contradiction. (Who ever said fashion made sense?)
The Palm Beach slippers have long been popular with the vacationing preppy set, but come cooler temperatures, you can expect to see their creations in cities with no sand in sight. Slipper-seeking New Yorkers will need to head uptown to the Stubbs & Wootton store at the Carlyle to snag a pair. Between the needlepoint leopard print and the “Screw + U” style, there’s something for every taste, from safe to spicy.
