We have a thing for HBO documentaries. However conventional or off-beat, high or low brow the subject, these are films that always manage to pull us in. On October 5 & 6th, the channel will debut the movie “George Harrison: Living in a Material World,” in two parts. And as if a film about the most mercurial of the Beatles isn’t reason enough to tune in, Martin Scorsese is directing. The film includes interviews with bandmates Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr as well as friends Tom Petty and Eric Clapton. It’s great entertainment but more importantly, an overdue tribute to “the quiet one.”
