“We arrived in New York the same day as the late October snow storm. Venise was a bit down due to the cold weather, as it was her first visit to the city. Thankfully, upon arrival at the Nolitan Hotel the staff was very attentive. While I was checking in, a staff member kept Venise company (a plus for any parent!). She was instantly cheered up. Since we arrived late in the evening, we decided to do our favorite thing — call room service! We ordered sliders, fried chicken and chocolate mousse cake; it was a lovely evening of dinner in bed and family Halloween specials on TV.

The next morning, we got up early for a little reading time in the lobby and stopped by the hotel’s Ellabess for a glass of milk and french toast. We spent the rest of the day with friends and family, and made it to three fantastic new restaurants: Peels, The Dutch and the Meatball Shop. But the highlight for Venise was visiting FAO Schwarz. We ended the night back in our cozy bed at the Nolitan with another plate of chocolate mousse and a hot pot of jasmine tea. It was a short trip, but it was nice and sweet.”
